VIP Travel experience for Men’s Hockey Team
Coach
hire and travel management company Connections teamed up with British
University and College Sport (BUCS), to hold an online competition where
one lucky team/or sports administrator could win a VIP travel experience
for use in a BUCS fixture.
Limited to BUCS members only and accessed via the dedicated fixture admin
portal BUCScore, the competition was a new take on the old classic ‘Spot
the ball’. Users were asked to click an area on screen where they
thought the ball was in a sports action shot from one of the BUCS leagues.
If you chose correctly you were taken to an entry form to submit your
details.
The prize was exclusive use of one of The Kings Ferry VIP coaches, the
same fleet that are regularly used by top sports stars from The Premier
League and Champions League, to one of their Wednesday BUCS fixtures.
The Kings Ferry VIP service is the height of opulence and luxury. Equipped
with state of the art technology, sumptuous rear lounge area (rear lounge
coach only), air-craft style leather seats, large plasma screens, BOSE
surround systems, privacy tinted windows, kitchen facilities, power supplies,
coffee machines, bar facilities and probably the best one of them all….Sky
TV for watching the big game to get you in the mood.
The competition was very popular with over 15 universities entering. The lucky winner was chosen at random, and was Chris Rawlings from University of Birmingham who is part the Men’s Hockey 1st XI.
Chris was delighted to be chosen for this unique experience and is quoted
below:
"The first team is delighted to win this luxury trip travelling in style to one of our many long away journeys. We're all hoping for a big win to top off a cracking day treated like the stars. We'll try and do some re-arranging in the budget to make it a weekly occurrence!"
We think Chris and his team will enjoy their trip and we look forward
to seeing the pictures.
A post event press release, on how their day went will feature on BUCS
website, Connections website and associated social media pages
